In the craziness of daily life, self care often takes a back seat. However, it is critical to recognize that simple acts of good hygiene are profound expressions of self-love. Here’s why embracing good hygiene practice is a powerful form of self-care:

  1. Nourish Your Temple: Your body is your sanctuary. Regular showers, bruising your teeth, and maintaining personal grooming are not just mundane tasks: they are sacred moments of tending to your physical temple. A clean body is a canvas for positive energy. 

  2. Mind-Body Connection: Good hygiene isn’t just about the body: it is a bridge to the mind. Engaging in mindful practices like washing your face or taking a warm bath can be therapeutic, creating space for mental relaxation and clarity. Developing a good morning and evening hygiene routine can also help decrease stress, improve sleep and increase energy. 

  3. Boosting Confidence: When you feel clean and fresh, it radiates in your aura. Good hygiene is a natural confidence booster, allowing you to move through life with self assurance and higher self esteem. 

  4. Preventing Illness: Hygiene is a proactive approach to your health. Regular hand washing and maintaining cleanliness of your body and your surroundings are fundamental in preventing the spread of illness. Prioritizing hygiene is an investment in your long-term wellbeing. 

  5. Stress Reduction: A cluttered environment can contribute to mental clutter. Keeping your space clean and organized promotes a sense of order and calmness. Keeping yourself and your surroundings clean contributes to stress reduction and an overall positive mindset. 


Here are a few ways to integrate good hygiene in and out of our yoga studio:

-Bring your own mat and wipe it down after each class. We have natural spray for you to use in the studio. 

-We regularly clean the props that are used in class, however, you are always welcome to clean them before use. 

-Stay fresh for the comfort of everyone, arriving with clean clothes and a clean body creates a positive environment for the entire studio. 

-Frequent hand washing is a small yet impactful practice, please feel free to utilize the resources in our bathroom to stay fresh.
