Studio Class Descriptions
Whether it’s your first time on your mat, you’ve been away for a while or you’re a dedicated practitioner, we have classes for you. Our studio rests at a comfortable 76 degrees for maximum comfort and effectiveness. Know that your sweat is coming from hard work and your own breath rather than externally added humidity. Our experienced and passionate team will make you feel comfortable and excited for your practice or fitness journey! *The minimum age to attend with a parent is 14 (unless an exception has been pre-approved by staff) and 16 unaccompanied. All students under 18 must have a parent sign their liability waiver before taking class. *
Power Yoga
This 60 minute Vinyasa based class takes you on an in-depth journey and exploration of movement and breath. Often classes will focus on a specific transition, pose or family of postures. We focus heavily on teaching you how to engage and use your body to its fullest potential, which truly sets FlowFit apart from your standard power yoga practice.

New Student Testimonial:
“I went from a few gentle yoga classes at a local athletic club to a power yoga class with Alex. After one class I was hooked. I modified a lot but it part of growing. Following Alex’s cues to move and activate muscles in the proper way was key to develop and improve my practice. I do not regret jumping into the advanced class without prior yoga experience. It was mind calming and body strengthening.” -Janet S
Barre Sculpt Fusion
Barre Sculpt Fusion is our lower impact, muscle activation focused version of yoga sculpt. You can expect lighter weights, compound and functional movement as well as new props! If you like Pilates or barre, this format is going to be your new favorite!

“ The perfect blend between my two favorite formats. This class was what got me comfortable enough to try a full yoga sculpt, and now I am in love with both!!”- Gigi
Flowbility
This class brings together the best aspects of our favorite Mobility class, with an added element of yoga flow. You can expect more yoga postures, lots of movement within the poses themselves, and an element of freedom that will allow you to explore your body in a deeply connected way. This practice is great for anyone looking for movement without the intensity of a Power Yoga practice. Perfect for novices to the practice of yoga and those with many years of experience.

“This practice is exactly what I was missing and didn’t know it! I find it perfect for those days where I don’t quite have the energy for a power practice, but want lots of movement.”- Janine
Strength and Mobility
In this class, we'll start by actively mobilizing the body specifically for the planned strength training section. We will teach you how to properly warm-up and build muscle in a workshop style format. Don’t let that confuse you, you’ll be sure to break a sweat and build strength. Unlike Yoga Sculpt, where you are moving throughout in a slow-twitch endurance style workout, interval training focuses on bringing the heart rate up and down for a more powerful and fast-twitch experience. This class is a great compliment to our other formats.

“This is the GREATEST butt-kicking, good-time. I love that we get all different aspects of challenge and end with time to slow down. The combination of multiple formats and multiple teachers makes for such a fun experience, and there are always laughs and jokes to make the intensity totally managable!” - Allison
Yoga Sculpt
Always a crowd favorite, yoga sculpt is the perfect blend between Vinyasa yoga and strengthening. This class uses weights and bands to add external resistance to the body. You can expect a continuous flow of movement for endurance, stamina and slow-twitch muscle work.

"One of my favorite class to take! Every class is different and they always kick my butt but I always leave feeling amazing and empowered. I've taken classes from Alex, Ashlee, and Maria so far and they are all great and challenging in their own unique way. Definitely recommend!!!" -Betsy T.
Core Express
Core Express is a favorite of ours. Get an awesome burn and focus on strengthening the midline of your body in a wide variety of ways. Our core is often under-engaged and misunderstood. Restore: Mobility

“I am new to yoga, and didn’t really know what to expect when I first started taking classes at FlowFit. As a guy, yoga has a somewhat negative connotation in locker rooms, and as a whole, isn’t looked upon as “manly” or beneficial to being a better athlete (WRONG!). Everyone was so welcoming, from the awesome instructors to fellow yogi’s, and I instantly felt comfortable and not out of place. The classes are fun yet challenging, and have been very humbling. I am excited for each new class that I attend to learn and improve. The restore classes have been especially beneficial in helping old injuries and gaining mobility and flexibility, while also helping with soreness from sports and weightlifting. Fascia release has been an incredible way to give back to my body!” -Jake C.
Restore: Fascia Release and Flexibility
We could all use more massage in our life. Through the use of props you’ll work through muscular tension and create more elasticity in your fascial network. In essence this practice is 60 minutes of juicy massage.

New Student Testimonial:
As someone who works out nearly every day in a HIIT format, I rarely spend time stretching and healing. A friend introduced me to this place and I quickly learned to appreciate the various forms of restore and mobility including fascia release. All of the staff lead you through movements and stretches that help heal the body and keep it limber. Not only the tired worked body but tense shoulders and sore wrists from working in front of a PC all day. There is a broad assortment of class types and times offered and can provide anything from an intense workout, to yoga and more. It’s easy to feel welcome here and is now part of my regular workout and heal routine!” - Deb S
Restore: Yin Yoga
Our take on the classic practice of Yin Yoga. Yin Yoga is a slow and internal practice. We use blankets and bolsters to support the body in longer holds, but allow space for gentle guided movement in-between poses. These extended holds will create more openness in the muscles and connective tissue as well as allowing for an intensely meditative practice and the movement gives our version of the practice a little more relaxed feel than the traditional format. This class is the ultimate restorative experience.

Babywearing Classes
If you see the the label “babywearing” on any class on the schedule, it means that you are welcome to bring your non-mobile infants to class! Of course this does not mean you need a non-mobile infant to attend, we are just trying to support our new mothers in their journeys back to feeling like themselves! If you have any questions please send an email to alex@flowfityoga.com.
