Puppies, Poses & Mimosas at FlowFit February 23rd 12:45 PM

What more could you want for your Sunday afternoon? Join us at 12:45 for an hour of puppy yoga, followed by playing with pups and sipping on mimosas. We are working with a local rescue network to get these pups placed in loving homes. 20% of event proceeds will go to our rescue partners!

 
 

Arm Balance Advancements and Fundamentals at FlowFit with Alex Johnson Thursday February 13th 6:45-8:15 PM

Join Alex Johnson for a 90 minute workshop that will cover the fundamentals necessary for arm balancing and inverting, as well as ways to advance your current practice. This workshop is an excellent opportunity for all levels of practitioner to learn more about the ways to strengthen, mobilize and stabilize for hand balancing poses and inversions. 4 Week Handstand Fundamentals Workshop Series at FlowFit with Alex Johnson Sundays March 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd 12:15-1:30 PM

Over this four week course we will work on form and alignment, as well as specific strengthening and skill dills to build the physicality and stability necessary for handstands and floating. Each week will have a different focus and build off of the week before. You will be given take home workbooks and assignments each week to practice in between sessions. Whether you have been working on handstands for a while, or are simply beginning to get curious, this workshop series is the key to unlocking this difficult skill. No experience necessary, save $25 if you register before February 1st.

Pelvic Floor and Core Connection at FlowFit with Hannah Strom Saturday April 5th 11:00 AM -12:30 PM

Do you know the difference between your pelvis and pelvic floor? Are you familiar with your “true” core muscles? Join Dr. Hannah Strom, pelvic floor physical therapist, yoga instructor, and owner of Awake Pelvic Health & Wellness for an educational and experiential workshop all about your pelvic floor and core. 

This workshop will begin with an educational discovery of the anatomy of your pelvis, diaphragm, and true core muscles. You will learn how to connect to your pelvis and deep core through breathwork and movement. We will discuss what optimal core and pelvic floor function is, as well as common issues with this area of the body, including chronic pelvic pain, hip and low back issues, hip pain, urinary leaking, and tailbone pain. There will also be an opportunity for questions and answers. 

You will be guided through a mindful yoga flow practice integrating poses and breathing techniques that help you find greater connection with your  deep core and pelvic floor. This workshop will leave you with greater knowledge that you can put to use both on your mat and in your everyday life!
