Introduction to Inversions and Arm Balances

Welcome and thank you for purchasing this workshop. This 10 day series is an a way to step into the world of inversions, and build confidence in yourself. Start by taking the videos in order, if you do not feel comfortable on the video you are on, go back to the previous day and repeat! These are meant to be a reference and working them continuously WILL build you a strong inversion practice. Even once you finish it is a good idea to either take these drills and prep movements and make them your own, or continue to run through these classes. I use these drills and warm-ups weekly, so even though this is an intro series, these are exercises you can apply throughout your entire journey.

It will be useful to have a couple blocks, a strap, and sometimes a wall to use as props.

Embrace the sensation! Wrist strengthening and mobility work can be really tough especially if you are new to it but this is the bread and butter of an arm balancing practice!
Shoulder mobility and action is the name of the game today!
Grab two blocks and a strap for class today as we explore different ways to prop up this first variation of crow.
Set yourself up by a wall today.
Strengthening drills are the name of the game today.
Chinstand is a beautiful posture and flowy transition. Though it does take shoulder and backline strength, its something you can weave into all your power and vinyasa classes to practice. Grab two blocks for class today.
Today we work handstand drills to get comfortable shifting weight into the hands.
Set yourself up near a blank wall so you can place your belly to the wall today.
