Class Descriptions
Intro/Beginner Level Classes
Is it your first time stepping onto your mat? Has it been a while? Are you looking to get back to basics? All are great reasons to start with the foundations. A strong foundation leads to a powerful yoga practice. Stay patient with yourself and don’t be afraid to repeat, repeat, repeat classes! Muscle memory and repetition is how we build foundations.
Fundamentals of Yoga
These are the basics, the bare bones and the very beginning of developing a practice. We will move very slowly, practice specific portions of class and you will start to learn the verbiage that is used in the yoga world. (20 minutes)
Beginner Yoga
Here we start to put pieces together that you practiced in Fundamentals of Yoga. We will start to add on a few poses at a time and build slightly longer sequences. Again, repetition is the name of the game! (25-40 minutes)
Restorative (all levels)
If you are looking for the softer side of your practice, this is where its at! Whether you are an advanced power yogi, only do strengthening classes, or are brand new, this is a massively important part of your practice.
Restore
Our restore classes rotate through a variety of formats such as gentle flow, yin yoga (holding poses with props), and fascia release. These classes focus on actively and passively building flexibility and allowing the body to reset. (15-30 minutes)
Meditation
Get ready to get cozy and find stillness. You will be guided through various visualizations and meditation techniques. (10-20 minutes)
Intermediate
Bored with your beginner classes but not quite ready for power? These class options are a great gateway to a powerful vinyasa practice.
Intermediate Yoga
Take your beginner flows, add some new poses and build longer sequences. We will start to link up more postures and gain a better understanding of basic transitions and the possibility of advancements. (30-40 minutes)
Yoga Sculpt/ Sculpt Fusion
Want to work hard but aren’t ready for deep flexibility or more advanced postures? These formats are for you! Yoga Sculpt is a weighted class with basic yoga poses and strengthening moves, sculpt/power fusion starts to introduce a few more poses and ditches the weights. (45 minutes)
Advanced/ Progressive
You will find the most success in these classes if you have a solid understanding of the basics, and have begun to build a baseline of strength. In general Power classes are for the more seasoned practitioner, however never be afraid to try! The more you practice the more you will learn to modify or advance your practice as needed. You do not need to be able to do every pose to take these classes!
Power Yoga
This is the bread and butter of our platform. Power Yoga combines strength, flexibility and meditative aspects to deliver a well-rounded fitness and mindfulness routine. Once you are very comfortable with the beginner and intermediate classes, start working through some Power Yoga classes. It is important to remember that you may not be able to do all the postures to the full extent right away, but that is part of the fun! Consistency and time will change your body in ways you have never imagined possible. (55-65 minutes)
Advanced Power Yoga
More advanced options, concepts and transitions. Usually classes will be slightly faster paced, and require more endurance and strength. (55-65 minutes)
Strengthening
In general these classes have a less “yoga” more “fitness” vibe. All movements and postures can be modified to suit your level. High and low impact options will be given, and these are a great compliment to your yoga practice.
HIIT/ Strengthening
Our High Intensity Interval Training classes give you a large amount of variety. Each class is different, but will focus around interval work. This is a great way to build muscle and get your heart rate up. We think it is a key compliment to a Power Yoga practice. All levels welcome. (35 minutes)
Core Express
Sometimes you just need a little burn in the abs! Or perhaps you only have a short window of time to dedicate to your movement practice for the day. Our Core Express classes will push you, build strength for your yoga practice and life, and give you the time to tackle whatever else your day has in store. All levels welcome. (12-25 minutes)
